Dimple holds protest against water scarcity, unscheduled power cuts

JAMMU, May 22: Sunil Dimple, president mission statehood staged a protest against the PHE and PDD departments for not supplying adequate drinking water and long duration power cuts.
Addressing the rally Sunil Dimple alleged that there is acute scarcity of drinking water and long duration power cuts and low voltages, even the inverters have failed, as no battery charging due to long power cuts.
Dimple alleged there is no drinking water to bath, washing clothes and even no water to cook food and total drought like situation in Jammu urban and rural areas, in this 45 degree temperature.
He demanded free drinking water to the people and demanded to start the work on Akhnoor Chenab water supply project.
Dimple alleged no tankers services are available for drinking water.
He alleged the Jammu Municipal Corporation, PHE is selling water and charging money to supply water tankers in the localities, where no drinking water is supplied by Jal Shakti Department.
Among others who were present during the protest included Rekha Devi, Veena Devi, Koushlya Devi, Rekha Dogra, Sureshta, Rano Devi, Rajinder, Tarsem, Ashok Sharma and many others.
