Dignity of womenhood

Sir,
In two wheels based society, where man and woman equally, contribute for running the vehicle of life, both are important components of the system. Women even have been said to be better halves of men. But the conditions in which they are made to pass their lives are not so good. No  day goes, when there are no incidents of rapes, gang rapes and killing of women. Domestic violence, maltreatment by in-laws and dowry deaths, as generally alleged, create and reveal an atmosphere where women are totally  unsafe. Laxity on part of law enforcing agencies can also not be denied totally. What is more distressing, is moral turpitude in the society. System of education where moral values are cultivated and inculcated is also lacking abundantly. Scientific education helps a lot for better life conditions, but it certainly doesn’t foster human and social qualities, a man needs in the society.
To ensure their dignity and status, can’t be over emphasised. Extension of educational facilities to girl child at every nook and corner is of vital importance. ‘Beti  Padhao Beti Bachao’ indicates determination of the Government to extend every facility for their betterment. Some more incentives for women and girls child can certainly add to their dignity and value in the society. It is the duty of every section of the society to  educate their children by fostering values, the society  expects. Any society where fair sex isn’t honoured and facilitated to develop, can’t remain unchallenged.
Yours etc….
