JAMMU, Feb 8: Dr Sunil Gupta, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, holding additional charge of Rajouri-Poonch Range held an introductory- cum- familiarization meet with all GOs and SHOs of district Rajouri and reviewed over all Law and Order situation today.
The purpose of the meeting was also to brief and sensitize the officer regarding the challenges in the RP Range and to prepare them for their better performance in these testing times.
The meeting was attended by Amritpal Singh, SSP Rajouri; Musadiq Majid Basu- SP Hqrs Rajouri, Mohd Rafi Giri- ASP Nowshera, Anurag Daru-Probationer IPS, Ashwani Kumar DySP Hqrs Rajouri, Shammi Kumar (DySP), Taussif Ahmed- SDPO Manjakote, Khalid Ahmed SDPO Thanamandi, Jaswant Singh- SDPO Nowshera, Afrat Hussain-DySP DAR Rajouri, Nawaz Ahmed DySP Traffice, . Parvez Alam SO RPHQ and Sunil Kumar Dhar Pvt. Secy to DIG RP Range besides all SHOs of district Rajouri.
After a brief introduction of the participants/newly posted officers, were asked to acquire knowledge regarding deployment and available equipment resources in the field so as to achieve success in their assigned tasks as the current security scenario of the Range is the buzzword at the top level,
Starting from border infiltration to drug smuggling they were briefed about the modus operandi of such anti- national activities and elements. A detail presentation was made by the DIG Rajouri followed by threadbare discussion with regard to finalization of Zero Terro Plan and Area Domination Plan in the district.
Elaborating on the day-to-day challenges the participants were informed about bovine smuggling, land and sand mafia and the ways to tackle these challenges. A sense of camaraderie and bonhomie is to be developed to make the things happened in the latest interest of public. The cyber crime and the investigation of such cases were discussed threadbare. The need to upgrade knowledge and skills regarding cyber and forensics was emphasized.
The participants were briefed about the healthy police- public relations and youth engagement programme in the Range.
