KATRA, Jan 13: Haseeb-ur-Rehman, DIG Railway J&K, Jammu, held a meeting with all GOS/SHOs/ IC PPs of GRP Katra in the office chamber of SSP GRP Katra in connection with security review of arrangements being made for the forthcoming Republic Day-2024.
The DIG Railway interacted with all the participants and took stock of security arrangements being made in their areas of responsibility in respect of the present security scenario of the UT J&K.
The objective of the meeting was to gear up the security grid of GRP Katra in view of the forthcoming Republic Day-2024 and constant threat perceptions by the anti-national elements to carry out strikes on security forces.
The DIG directed all the participants to brief the manpower under their command and control to remain extra vigilant in their area of responsibility. He directed all the officers to ensure Anti-Sabotage Check of Railway Stations, track and surrounding areas through security gadgets and sniffer dogs. He stressed that patrolling at Railway tracks should be also intensified.
At the end of the meeting, the DIG Railway exhorted upon the officers present in the meeting to maintain close liaison with sister intelligence agencies RPF/PMF/ District Police & local respectable in the adjoining areas of the Railway Stations so as to avert any untoward incident.
