JAMMU, Apr 25: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shridhar Patil, today welcomed a fresh batch of recruits into the Jammu and Kashmir Police during a special interaction and briefing session held at District Police Lines Jammu.
Addressing the recruits, the DIG stressed the importance of discipline, good conduct and professionalism in police service.
He asked them to maintain proper public behaviour, wear the uniform smartly and remain alert while performing their duties.
He said the presence of a police officer should inspire confidence among law-abiding citizens and act as a deterrent to criminals.
Patil also reviewed the functioning of the Police Control Room and inspected its infrastructure.
He called for modernization of the facilities and directed officers to ensure better operational preparedness.
He said the PCR should function as an efficient centre for coordination and prompt public assistance during emergencies.
