JAMMU, Dec 5: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, today visited International Border (IB) in the Pargwal area of Jammu District.
Accompanied by SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, SP Jammu Rural Brijesh Sharma, and SDPO Domana Mudassir Hussain, the DIG jointly reviewed the patrolling along the Indo-Pak border divided by the River Chenab, with the BSF authorities.
Later, he reviewed the security and border management grid of various villages along the Chicken Neck Border in Garkhal, Malabella, Sohan, and Kanachak areas besides checking the nallahs, rivers, canals, and suas in the area.
The DIG JSK Range also interacted with people living close to the fence for better police-public coordination and timely information sharing with the police.
