RAMBAN, Sept 5: A flag off ceremony for 50 students from different corners of the district, who are being sent on a ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour being organized by District Police Ramban under Civic Action Programme (CAP) took place at DPL here.
The five days’ tour was flagged off by DIG DKR range Rafiq-ul-Hassan along with DC Ramban Showkat Aijaz Bhat and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
Others who were present on the occasion included GJ Singh Additional DC Ramban, Sanjay Parihar Additional SP Ramban, CEO Ramban, DYSSO Ramban, DySP DAR, DySP Headquarters, respectable citizens and parents of the touring students.
SSP Ramban in her speech enlightened with the salient features of the tour programme. Total duration of the programme will be six days which will include bus journey to Jammu and visit to local/historical places there followed by air journey to Delhi to visit historical monuments, malls, stadium, meeting with the dignitaries, visit of Parliament House, metro, visit to some reputed school, etc.
DIG DKR range advised the touring students to make best use of the opportunity and be a changed human being after the visit.
The students are provided with two track suits, shoes, t shirt, bag, cap, diary and pen.
Three caretakers from District Police Ramban will accompany the students during the touring days which include one pharmacist, one photographer and DySP Arvind Kumar Badgal.
