JAMMU, Sept 16: Director Health Services (DHS) Jammu, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar, today visited Sub District Hospital (SDH) Jagti in Nagrota and reviewed its overall functioning.
During the visit, Dr Zargar interacted with a delegation of the Migrant Association Jagti, which highlighted the urgent requirement of a dialysis unit at the Hospital. The Director assured the delegation that a dialysis facility will be set up at SDH Jagti in the near future. He also inspected and finalized the site for the proposed unit and instructed the Medical Superintendent to initiate the necessary process for its establishment.
The delegation also drew attention to the lack of a Dental X-ray with RVG facility and the urgent requirement of a CR system for the existing X-ray plant. Dr Zargar assured that these demands would be met soon to strengthen diagnostic facilities at the hospital.
The Director emphasized the Government’s commitment to improving healthcare services in peripheral hospitals, particularly those catering to migrant populations. He noted that establishing a dialysis unit and upgrading diagnostic facilities at SDH Jagti will help reduce patient referrals to tertiary hospitals and provide timely treatment at the local level.
