JAMMU, Aug 11: Director Health Services (DHS) Jammu, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar, visited the Community Health Centre (CHC) R S Pura today to review healthcare services being provided to the public. He was accompanied by R S Pura MLA, Dr Narinder Singh Raina.
Dr Zargar took an extensive round of the Hospital, inspecting various sections including OPD, IPD, labour room, wards, laboratory, store, X-ray unit and dental section. He interacted with Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr Balwinder Singh, medical consultants, doctors, and paramedical staff, stressing the importance of punctuality, discipline, and adherence to dress code while on duty. He also met patients admitted in the wards, enquiring about the facilities available to them.
Directing the staff to work with dedication, accountability, and professionalism, the DHS expressed satisfaction over the hospital’s functioning and urged the team to maintain their zeal and passion in service delivery.
During the visit, the local MLA highlighted the shortage of staff in the block, pointing out that the border area requires adequate manpower to handle any emergency situation. He urged immediate attention to this need. Dr Zargar assured that all possible measures would be taken at the earliest to address the issue.
