JAMMU, Mar 24: J&K Dharmarth Trust is organizing a grand ‘Rath Yatra’ on March 26, on the occasion of Ram Navami celebrations.
This was informed by Dr Parshotam Singh Pathania, president of J&K Dharmarth Trust, while addressing a press conference at the Trust’s Central Office in Jammu. On the occasion, Ashok Kumar Sharma (secretary) and members of Sanatan Dharam Sabha and Dharmik Yuvak Mandal were also present.
Briefing media persons, Dr Pathania said that the Trust is organizing the grand ‘Rath Yatra’ in collaboration with Sanatan Dharam Sabha and Dharmik Yuvak Mandal. He said that the Shobha Yatra will follow the traditional route this year, commencing from the historic Shri Raghunath Ji Temple. After passing through various markets of Jammu’s old city, it will finally culminate at Shri Raghunath Ji Temple.
He further informed that the ‘Shobha Murti Poojan’ ceremony will be performed at 4 PM on March 26 in the premises of Shri Raghunath Ji Temple, followed by ‘Rath Poojan’. Thereafter, the ‘Rath Yatra’ will start from Shri Raghunath Ji Temple, he added.
Ashok Kumar Sharma informed that the Rath Yatra will start from the Shri Raghunath Ji Temple complex and pass through Residency Road, Shaheedi Chowk, Rajinder Bazar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazar, Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar, Gita Bhawan, and Ranbireshwar Temple, and then move again towards City Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar, and finally culminate at Shri Raghunath Ji Temple.
The Secretary appealed to the people of Jammu to participate in the Shobha Yatra in large numbers and come together to celebrate the auspicious occasion with harmony and joy.
