Dharmarth president vows for development of shrines, temples

JAMMU, Feb 23: Senior Advocate Ajay Gandotra who was recently appointed as the president of Dharmarth Trust of J&K today vowed to give his 100 percent for the maintenance and development of the shrines and temples being looked after by the Trust.
Gandotra was speaking at a function during which he was honoured by Young Lawyers Association (YLA), J&K High Court, Jammu, for being appointed as the president of Dharmarth Trust. He assured the YLA members that he will leave no stone unturned for the public welfare and caretaking of shrines and temples.
Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma, Secretary Dharmarth Trust and Varinder Singh Jamwal, Additional Secretary were also present in the function.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Nitin Bakshi (president YLA) expressed hope that Advocate Ajay Gandotra will bring about drastic changes in enriching further the religious and cultural heritage of J&K, which has been preserved by the dedicated management of Dharmarth Trust since its inception more than 100 years ago.
He said that this elevation of our senior colleague has added another glittering feather in the hat of J&K High Court Bar and they are sure that the Dharmarth Trust under the guidance of its new mentor will touch pinnacle of success as far as public welfare and caretaking of shrines and temples is concerned.
Upasana Thakur, general secretary of the Association said that the responsibility given to Senior Advocate Ajay Gandotra holds much significance as the Dharmarth Trust is a century old philanthropic organization, which is meticulously serving the people of J&K and those coming from outside, by facilitating them by way of according unending warmth and services at most of the temples and shrines in J&K.
Other Association members present were Advocate Atul Raina, Amzi Arthur John, cashier YLA Jammu, Mohammad Azam and Sarvesh Kotwal (vice president YLA Jammu).
