Dhania, kalaunji up on stockists buying

NEW DELHI, Sept 15: Dhania and kalaunji prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists.
Restricted arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on the prices.
Dhania and kalaunji prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 5,100-8,700 and Rs 7,300-8,900 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly pushed up dhania and kalaunji prices in the wholesale kirana market here.
The following are today’s quotations:
Ajwain 10,000-15,000, black pepper (per kg) 440-540, betelnut (kg) 160-195, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 800-900, and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 980-1,200.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 700-800, cardamom (colour robin) 650-750, cardamom bold 700-750, cardamom extra (bold) 950-980 and cloves (kg) 600-690.
