DGP sanctions welfare relief, loan for 222 police personnel

JAMMU, Mar 11: Contin-uing with its aim to provide more and more welfare measures for police personnel and to give financial assistance to meet the urgent needs, Police Headquarters, J&K has sanctioned welfare loan in favour of 222 personnel of J&K Police.
The amount has been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund (CPWF). The welfare loan/relief of Rs. 2,30,40,000 has been sanctioned in favour of 222 personnel by the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh.
Among the 222 police personnel, Rs 58.40 lakh loan and relief have been provided to 47 police personnel for self treatment and treatment of their dependents which suffering from different ailments.
Rs 1.60 crore have been sanctioned to 160 personnel to meet the expenses of their marriage and marriage of their dependents. 6 personnel have been provided loan in connection with mundane, circumcision of their wards.
DGP has also sanctioned Rs 1 lakh each in favour of 9 police personnel in different ranks to meet the expenses of their wards on technical, professional and higher education.
