DGP sanctions special reward for wards of police personnel

SRINAGAR, May 26: The Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh, has announced a special reward of Rs 2 lakh for 20 wards of serving police personnel.
As part of this initiative, the DGP has sanctioned a special reward of Rs 10,000 each, along with a Commendation Certificate Class-1st, for the 20 wards who have successfully qualified competitive examinations during the year 2022-23.
A press statement said that the funds for these rewards have been allocated from the Central Police Welfare Fund.
The Police Headquarters has been actively involved in providing meritorious scholarships and special rewards under the DGP’s guidance.
These initiatives aim to acknowledge the academic achievements of the wards of martyred, deceased, and serving police personnel/SPOs.
Furthermore, they also provide financial assistance to the wards of lower subordinates who have unfortunately lost their lives in the line of duty.
