DGP sanctions scholarship to wards of martyred police personnel

JAMMU, Dec 29: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh today sanctioned Rs 5,38,200 in favour of 58 wards of deceased police personnel who laid down their lives in militancy related incidents in the State as scholarship out of Central Police Education Fund.
DGP has granted scholarship in favour of 58 wards of martyred police personnel of different classes during the academic session 2017-18. The scholarship of Rs 5.38 lakh has been granted out of Central Police Education Fund.
Besides, Rs 15,000 has been granted to one ward who is pursuing MPhil and Rs 10,000 each have been granted in favour of 33 wards pursuing graduation. Rs 12,000 each have been granted in favour of 10 wards pursuing post graduation. Rs 6,000 each have been granted in favour of 11 wards who are studying in different middle and secondary classes. Rs 2400 each have been granted in favour of three wards who are studying in primary class.
