DGP sanctions Rs 1.08 cr welfare loan

JAMMU, Mar 2: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned a welfare loan/relief of Rs 1.08 crore for 93 serving police personnel.
A press statement said that out of the sanctioned amount, Rs. 83.5 lakh has been granted as a welfare loan to 64 police personnel for self-treatment or treatment of their dependents.
The top cop has also granted Rs. one lakh each to 15 police personnel for their marriage or their ward’s marriage. Moreover, welfare relief of Rs. 3.60 lakh has been sanctioned for 19 police personnel for their self-treatment or treatment of their dependents.
Additionally, under the order, Rs. 1.5 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of two police personnel for the professional education of their wards. Rs. 50 thousand each has also been granted to two police personnel for Mundan/Akhand Path.
Pertinently, the amount is sanctioned from the Central Police Welfare Funds.
