DGP not to attend police conference

JAMMU, Dec 17: Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra will not be attending conference of top brass of police officers from entire country being held at Kutch in Gujarat for three days, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow.
This is for the second time when Rajendra will not attend the conference of top police officers of the country. Last year also, he hadn’t attended the conference due to Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir while this year he will be unable to make it to the conference due to pre-occupation in the State.
Three-day conference will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister tomorrow at Kutch. Modi will remain present in the conference during all the three days.
The conference is an annual feature and is organized to discuss security situation and share Intelligence inputs by top police brass of the country.
