DGP decorates 2004 JKPS batch with ranks

SRINAGAR, Oct 19: A pipping ceremony was held here, wherein DGP Dilbag Singh decorated the officers of JKPS 2004 batch with new ranks.
The function among others was attended by ADGP Coordination SJM Gillani and ADGP Headquarters AG Mir.
Speaking on this occasion, the DGP Dilbag Singh congratulated the officers and their families. He conveyed his best wishes to them in future.
Jammu and Kashmir Police Gazetted Services Officers of 2004 batch joined Police Services as Deputy Superintendent of Police in the month of July 2004 and completed 16 years of service in J&K Police.
The officers were promoted to the rank of SP in the year 2014-2015 and were confirmed by Home Department order.
JKPS 2004 batch comprised of 37 officers and while posted on different positions had played important role in policing, crime investigation, maintaining law and order besides fighting terrorism.
The officers of the 2004 batch who attended the pipping ceremony included Sajjad Bhat, Shazaad Salaria, Tahir Ashraf, Ifroz Mir and Masroor Ahmed Mir.
