JAMMU, Oct 19: Four persons including a notorious snatcher and a doctor were arrested along with heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Peer Mitha Police Station laid a naka near Shahidi Chowk and apprehended a notorious snatcher and his associate along with 15 grams of heroin.
The accused have been identified as Inzmamul Haq alias Inj, son of Abdul Haq of Mohalla Safraan District Doda, at present Kachi Chawni District Jammu and Pranb Sharma, son of Dharshan Sharma of Pacca Danga District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 61/2020 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation started.
It is pertinent to mention here that Inzmamul Haq alias Inj’s personal file is going on at Police Station Pacca Danga and 2 cases of snatching stands registered against him at Pacca Danga and Bakshi Nagar Police Stations.
Meanwhile, a team from Akhnoor Police Station led by SHO Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar during checking at old bridge in Akhnoor intercepted Etios car bearing registration number PB46S-0790.
During checking, police team recovered 8 grams of heroin from the possession of two persons including a doctor and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Sagar Singh, son of Mohan Singh and Dr Vikramjeet Singh, son of Malkeet Singh, both residents of Amritsar Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 172/2020 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
