SRINAGAR, July 8: Director General of Police, K Rajendra Kumar was this evening admitted to SKIMS Hospital at Soura here with severe abdominal pain.
The DGP who is suffering from Pancreatitis is in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital in Second floor. Doctors attending him said that his condition is stable and he may need a couple of day’s hospitalization. They said he has Chronic Pancreatic problem for past one decade.
Large numbers of police personnel are deployed on security duty of the Police Chief at the hospital.
An attendant of a patient told Excelsior that right from the main entrance of the SKIMS Hospital upto the ICU where the DGP is admitted large numbers of police men are deployed. Senior police officers are also in the SKIMS looking after the security of the Police Chief.
