NEW DELHI : The Directorate General of the Military Operations (DGMO) made a hot line contact with its counterpart establishment in Pakistan over inadvertent crossing of an Indian soldier Chandu Babula Chauhan into their territory.
This was the second hotline contact with the Pakistan DGMO since the Uri attack. However, Army sources said that there was no response from the other side, though it was confirmed that the message was received.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar had yesterday said in Pune that all efforts were being made to bring back the soldier.
Meanwhile, Mr Parrikar today convened a meeting of the three service chiefs here to discuss the security situation, specially along the international border and the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan. (AGENCIES)
