DG CRPF visits GC Bantalab, honours six personnel

JAMMU, Sept 26: Dr A P Maheshwari, Director General, CRPF, New Delhi visited the Group Centre, CRPF, Bantalab, Campus and honoured six personnel of the force.
During this visit, the DG interacted with the Jawans in “Sainik Sammelan”. The DG said that the country is facing tough times due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the officer said that many Jawans of CRPF have lost their lives while giving their service to general public, yet the Jawans of the Force have not hesitated to serve the general public in various fields and are discharging their duties with full dedication and honesty.
The DG further informed that in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, the personnel of CRPF are maintaining restraint while dealing with the stones pelters and are also encountering the terrorists and combing the carvings in the economically effective areas like Chattisgarh.
On the occasion, the DG announced to confer the Director General’s Disc (DG’s Disc) and commendation letter to Rajesh Kumar, 2-I/C (Dy FA), J&K Zone, Jammu and also honoured five other personnel with “Cash Reward” to boost their intelligence and morale.
Thereafter, Dr Maheshwari conducted a conference at Station Officers’ mess with Sanjay Arora, ADG, New Delhi, Zulfiquar Hasan, ADG, J&K Zone, P S Ranpise, IG Jammu Sector, Sarbjit Singh, IG, J&K Zone, Jammu and S P Singh, DIG, GC, Bantalab, Jammu and other gazetted officers. In this meeting, the DG praised the efforts made by doctors and para-medical staff of Composite Hospital, Bantalab for their utmost service for care and treatment of COVID-19 patients of CAPFs.
