DG BSF visits Ramgarh on IB

JAMMU, Sept 16: Newly appointed Director General Border Security Force Pankaj Kumar Singh during his two-day visit to Jammu reviewed the prevailing security scenarios along the International Border (IB).
A senior BSF official said that the DG BSF reached here this afternoon and also visited Ramgarh sector of Samba.
The BSF chief reviewed the security scenario and held meetings with the senior officials of Jammu Frontier.
According to reliable sources, the visit is in the backdrop of the situation that erupted after the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban.
“The security agencies are closely monitoring the situation along the Indian borders especially post Afghan crisis and as a part of this exercise, top security officials are also visiting Jammu and Kashmir sharing borders with Pakistan and China,” sources revealed.
