SAMBA, Sept 16: District Police Samba organized Debate Competition at Humanity Public School Bassi Kalan, Bari-Brahamna in which students from different Govt./Private Schools of district Samba participated.
The theme of the debate was on “Indian Freedom Struggle” to which a total 18 students participated. Each student presented their point of view on the given topic with great enthusiasm, throwing light on freedom struggle of India & on the great heores of Indian freedom movement.
In the debate competition, Simran secured 1st position and Akhileshwar secured 2nd position, both are the students of Rich Harvest School, Bari-Brahmana whereas Priksha a student of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan secured 3rd position as selected by the Jury of educationist. The students who secured 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions were awarded with trophies, certificates and cash prize of Rs. 4000/-, 3000/- and 2000/- respectively.
All the participating students were also presented with cash reward of Rs. 500/- each and a Certificate of Appreciation.
While interacting with the participants, SSP Samba Rajesh Sharma, JKPS appreciated the spirit of participation shown by the students and advised them to participate in such events which will help them to harness thier talent for all round personality development.
During the programme, Addl. SP Samba, DySP DAR, SDPO Bari-Brahmana, DySP PC Samba and SHO P/S Bari-Brahmana were also present. The programme was also witnessed by parents, students and teaching staff of the institutions.
At the end of the programme, refreshment was also served to all the guests/participants.
