JAMMU, Sept 20: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DF&SS) today held a protest rally against non-availability of ration in the Government depots.
The activist of DF&SS led by its president Ashok Gupta raised slogans against the Government and Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department for their failure in providing ration to the people.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta flayed Government and CAPD Department for not supplying rice to the dealers even though they have deposited the money with the Government. The current quota of sugar for the people has been supplied to the dealers but in some areas the dealers are only giving 200 grams instead of 700 grams fixed by the Government, he added.
Gupta stated that sugar should be immediately provided to the areas of RS Pura, Samba, Kathua, Hiranagar, Madh, Bhalwal, Rajouri and Reasi.
The CAPD Department is not supplying ration to the people which shows the callousness on the part of the Government, he said, adding that DF&SS will launch a protest on September 25 if demands not met with at the earliest.
Among others present were Vikram Sharma, Roshan Lal, Sunil Kumar, Veena Devi, Raj Kumar, etc.
