JAMMU, Oct 11: Activists of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) here today staged a protest demonstration against Mehbooba Mufti for her remarks against J&K Lieutenant Governor (LG).
The protest was led by Ashok Gupta, president DF&SS and the protesters raised slogans against Mehbooba.
Speaking on the occasion Ashok Gupta said that Mehbooba’s flaying of authorities for not appointing someone from Jammu as J&K LG is blatant disrespect towards the constitutional position and smells of petty regional politics.
“When her father was Union Home Minister he appointed Jagmohan as J&K Governor,” Gupta maintained adding: “When she became CM her Principal Secretary was an IAS from outside. During her tenure as the CM of J&K in 2016 she removed Jammu based B.R Sharma as Chief Secretary and appointed B.B VYAS in his place.”
The DF&SS leader also said that now Mehbooba is talking about Jammu but during her tenure as CM the Chairmen of J&K Bank were appointed only from Kashmir.
“It was the current LG who appointed Jammu based R.K Chibber as the Chairman of J&K Bank first time in history of the Bank,” he claimed.
He further said that as Mehbooba is now talking about Mata Vaishno Devi but it was she who imposed VAT on helicopter services there.
“The PDP chief is playing petty politics as she is calling the Chief Secretary from outside but he is from the J&K cadre,” Gupta said.
Those who participated in the protest were Abhishek, Bantu, Kalu, Niíka, Rampal, Vinay, Vijay and others.
