JAMMU, June 4: Workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) here today under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta organised a protest rally against the derogatory remark of Punjab CM, Bhagwant Mann against Operation Sindoor.
The protesters torched the effigy of Mann and raised slogans against him.
Addressing the protesters, Ashok Gupta said that the name ‘Operation Sindoor’ was used because terrorists had killed Hindus after verifying their religion and Sindoor was a mark to identify married women.
“Punjab CM was a comedian before joining politics and now he wants to do comedy in politics too. Such issues should be taken seriously and should not be mocked,” he maintained.
It is pertinent to mention here that on May 7, 2025, India launched Operation Sindoor as a decisive military response to April 22 Pahalgam terror attack by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in which 26 people were killed. Indian strikes killed over 100 terrorists.
“Punjab CM should apologise before the nation for his remarks,” the Shiv Sena leader continued.
Abhishek, Bantu, Prem, Sushil, Ashok, Sampuran, Ganesh, Kalu, Naresh, Vinay, Sachin, Aman and others were also present in the protest rally.
