DFO Mahore suspended

JAMMU, Aug 7: The Government today placed I/C Divisional Forest Officer Mahore, Mohd Rafiq Khan under suspension.
Official sources said that the action was taken by the Government on the basis of certain complaints against the Forest officer regarding short fall and poor quality of works initiated in his area. The committee led by Conservator of Forests, West Circle Jammu Sameer Bharti was asked to go for preliminary findings into the matter and on that basis the DFO was placed under suspension today.
Meanwhile, the Government also constituted a committee of senior Forest Officers to conduct detailed inquiry into the matter and submit a report within ten days to the Government.
Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu Roshan Jaggi is the chairman of the Committee while Vasu Yadav, CF Working Plan and Brij Mohan Sharma, Regional Director, Social Forestry Jammu are the members.
