Development under BJP rule visible on ground: Balbir

JAMMU, Aug 2: Like other States/Union Territories (UTs) in India, Jammu and Kashmir, too, has witnessed massive heights in matters of development and public welfare during the last seven years of BJP Government at the Centre under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
This was stated by Balbir Ram Rattan, spokesperson of J&K BJP. He said that record number of development projects have been sanctioned for J&K during seven years, many of them were completed and rest near completion with more and more still coming with passage of time. He said that Jammu and Kashmir was, perhaps only State in India, which had never thought of getting prestigious institutions like IIT, Central and Cluster Universities, IIIM, Medical Colleges in districts, Biotech Park, Mega Power Projects etc before 2014. No one was even going to believe that it will have Express Ways, modern Airports and Railway stations.
The people of J&K were not ready to accept that their State will excel in development in just seven years because they had very bitter experience of over 65 years of Congress rule. Balbir said that in matters of public welfare also, it is for the first time that during the BJP rule, dozens of schemes have been launched with the sole motive of socio-economic upliftment of the people, irrespective of their caste, creed, gender or faith. Even exclusive schemes too have been started for women, SCs, border people, farmers, ex-servicemen, senior citizens etc.
“Whatever has been done during BJP rule for J&K is visible on ground and any one can himself or herself see this”, Balbir said and added that the beneficiaries of schemes like Ayushman Gold Health Card, Mudra Bank, PM Fasal Bima Yojana, Ujwala, Ujjala, besides STs & border residents, are themselves live proof of what has been done by the BJP Government for them.
West Pakistan refugees were denied citizenship rights for decades by the Congress, which they got only after BJP came into power at the Centre, Balbir said.
He said that every leader and activist of BJP feels pride in claiming that their party has done a lot for Jammu and Kashmir in all matters, whereas, nothing such was done during Congress rule, which ruled the country on false promises.
