Development of roads priority of Govt: Sunil Sharma

BHADERWAH, Dec 26: Development of the road infrastructure is vital for the economic progress of a nation and the present dispensation in the State is committed to extend quality road network in all the areas ” this was stated by the Minister of State for Public Works Department and Revenue Mr Sunil Kumar Sharma while  addressing a mammoth gathering  at Seri Bazar Bhaderwah .
Legislators, Daleep Singh Parihar, Shakti Raj Parihar and Ajat Shatru were also present on the occasion.
Speaking about new initiatives taken by the Government, the Minister said that survey on the Bhaderwah Bani Basohli railway link has been ordered   by Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu and a   team will soon visit the area to assess the feasibility of the project.
He further said that tenders for the second phase of  Ghati Mor- Ghurakha  road stretch have been floated and many vital roads of the region are now included in CRF for their adequate funding. “The work on macadamization work on Doda – Bhaderwah road will start soon as the weather condition improves” Minister further announced.
Highlighting   the importance of widening of Domail to Bhaderwah stretch of road and construction of Chattargala tunnel which will reduce the road distance between Bhaderwah – Bani Basohli besides converting this seasonal road into all weather road the Minister maintained that works on these vital projects will start soon.
He also said that the new government has zero tolerance for red-tapism and corruption and is committed to provide accountable and transparent governance.
