JAMMU, Oct 7: About three thousand beneficiaries of various schemes rolled out by the Central Government, residing in the border village Challian in Arnia (RS Pura) have sent thanksgiving post cards to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
These cards in which the beneficiaries also conveyed birthday greetings to the PM, were sent during a programme organized by Border Cell of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the guidance and supervision of Rakesh Mahajan, incharge BJP All Cells Jammu and Kashmir who was present on the occasion along with Dev Raj, co-convener here today.
The programme in this border village was organized by the convener Border Cell, Brajeshwar Rana along with his dedicated team on the concluding day of fortnight long celebration of Prime Narendra Modi’s birthday that commenced on 17th September.
Meanwhile, as part of the programme, a plantation and cleanliness drive was carried out at the Primary School Arnia.
Led by Rakesh Mahajan, the team comprising Arnia Municipal Committee, president Ramesh Saini, vice president, Bharat Jee, convener Border Cell, Brajeshwar Rana and his team besides others participated in the drives at the primary school.
Addressing the gathering, Rakesh Mahajan highlighted various schemes launched by the PM Modi led Government at the Centre besides, emphasizing on the need for massive plantation to keep the environment clean and green. He said that all these schemes are common people centric and can be availed by the commoners by selecting the appropriate scheme suiting them. He said that remote and far flung areas besides the border areas are on top priority of the Modi Government agenda and these areas shall witness all round development in the coming time.
He appealed to the people of this border belt to come forward and avail the benefits of these schemes at the earliest and become Atmanirbhar.
It is pertinent to mention here that the programmes during the fortnight celebrations were organized under ‘Sewa Hi Samarpan’ Abhiyan of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
