JAMMU, Dec 16: PDP candidate from Gandhi Nagar Assembly constituency Sardar Amrik Singh Reen, while addressing meetings for seeking votes in his favour, said that the developmental claims of the local MLA are on large sized hoardings and not on the grounds.
“The city has lost its charm due to congested pockets as annexing Government lands by the private businessmen is common in the city owing to which long queues of people can be seen throughout the day with their vehicles moving at snail pace. Railway property is being captured by the transitory population of outsiders due to which the threat of crime is looming large in the city but sitting MLA never highlighted these issues in Assembly as well as other forums due to lack of outlook to understand basic issues of the constituency,” he alleged while conducting door to door campaigning and addressing the meetings at Mahant Bachitar Singh Nagar, Dharap, Trikuta Nagar, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar and others places.
Mr Reen said that all that Congress did in coalition with Omar Abdullah was promoting frauds, nepotism, corruption and favouritism to adjust more and more personal relatives in various departments to earn money in crores. He lamented that insanitation in posh Gandhi Nagar was a blot on democracy as well as on the working of the incumbent MLA who failed to maintain cleanliness in this important colony of Jammu region.
“PDP is the only party that has worked for making J&K a corruption free State by establishing number of commissions aimed at maintaining transparency in the tenure of PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed”, Reen said and appealed people to vote for him.
Deepak Handa, Vinod Mahajan, S Harmeet Singh, Varinder Singh Sonu, Ranbir Singh Manga, Nitish Mahajan, Balbir Singh and others also addressed the gatherings.
