MENDHAR, Dec 19: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Javed Rana asked the engineers of R&B Department to change their working style to increase work culture here.
He added that it is very difficult for the department to carry out development activities without proper funding. Due to financial crunch and no proper funding, the developmental activities here are standstill, he stated.
Rana said this while reviewing NABARD projects. He asked the department to make the NABARD roads for traffic use without any delay.
He expressed concern that despite huge amount spent on these projects, the public of the area is still facing hardships due to deteriorating condition of roads.
He also expressed concern over changing of road alignment under NABARD and asked the department to prepare a fresh DPR to link the uncovered area under these schemes. He also asked the department to restart the work on the pending projects.
Rana also expressed his serious concern over the excluding of Pir Panjal region under recent PM package.
Chief Engineer R&B Jammu, SE R&B Poonch and XEn R&B Poonch were also present in the meeting.
