BHADERWAH, May 21: Balwant Singh Mankotia, president Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party, along with senior leaders of the party, conducted two- day extensive tour of Bhaderwah constituency and addressed public meetings at Chinta, Gatti, More, Seri, Malothi, Balla, Gajot etc.
Mr Mankotia demanded Bhaderwah to be developed as model constituency for tourism because it had a great potential and scope to attract tourists from all across the country. He added that Bhaderwah had been blessed by natural beauty and wonderful climate which could make it an ideal destination for the domestic as well as foreign tourists. “Though the Bhaderwah constituency was represented by then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, it remained deprived of adequate road connectivity and other civic amenities,” he alleged.
During his visit in Keladh area, having around 15 villages, Mankotia found that the roads were lying in a dilapidated condition. He also expressed his anguish over the miserable plight of Bhaderwah hospital, which was running short of doctors as well as para medical staff. Mankotia took stock of conditions at the hospital and met the patients who complained about shortage of staff and inadequate health care.
The NPP president exhorted the State Government to provide required staff at Bhaderwah hospital and facilitate immediate repair of Bhagat to Gajot road stretch via Malothi with black topping. During the tour, many youth joined Panthers Party in presence of Mankotia, who asked the newly joined members to reach every village of Bhaderwah constituency and propagate the agenda of the party among the common masses.
He said that JKNPP was the only regional party of Jammu Pradesh fighting for the cause of the Dogras and the Paharis from the time of its inception. He also urged the people of Bhaderwah to support and empower Panthers Party in the fight for rights and justice.
Prominent among those who accompanied Mr Mankotia, included Iqbal Choudhary, Neeraj Singh, Satwant Singh, Shakri Kumar and Vijay Kumar.
