JAMMU, June 15: Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda along with 12 family members today visited holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji and offered obeisance to the Goddess.
Gowda reached Katra this morning, the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi ji shrine, and was received by Additional Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Anshul Garg.
He then flew-in to Sanji Chat helipad and trekked three kilometers to reach Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan. The SDM Bhawan received him at Sanji Chat helipad.
He offered prayers inside the cave shrine and had night halt at the Bhawan. He would return to Katra tomorrow morning and fly back to Union capital on way to Bangalore. SHO Bhawan Inspector Rajesh Sharma monitered security arrangements of the former Prime Minister.
