SRINAGAR, Apr 22: Devasthan Prabandhak Committee, tehsil Bijbehara held a meeting under the chairmanship of its publicity secretary Pankaj Bhat and expressed concern over the efforts of mischievous elements of raising structure on Lord Shiva temple land situated on the National Highway at Bijbehara.
In a statement, Bhat said that during these election days, some mischievous elements are taking advantage of the busy schedule of the officials and are raising illegal structure on the temple land.
The Committee urged the KP organizations to make joint effort for the preservation of their religious heritage till Hindu Shrines and Temples Preservation and Protection Bill is passed.
They also appealed the community for generous donations to the Committee for fencing the shrines land at Bijebehra and over 100 kanal land of Pracheen Amarnath Shrine at Bijbehara which are the age old heritage centres of the community.
