JAMMU, Aug 27: Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) inaugurated the main Examination Hall and Varanda of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi here, today. The total cost of renovation work was Rs 6.8 lakh and the renovation work included new tile flooring and railings, new aluminium windows and complete renovation of hall.
Principal of the school, members of the school administration, students besides, Anil Gupta, AEE JMC, R. K. Koul, JE JMC and prominent members of Ward No. 1 including Karan Singh, Naresh Abrol, Suresh Bharti, Shubh Lata Sharma, Anuradha Sharma, Sunita Wazir and many other members were present on the occasion.
It was an old requirement of the school administration as there was seepage in the hall due to which many times the school administration was put into trouble. After the direction of the Deputy Mayor, renovation work was approved and the amount of Rs 6.8 lakh was sanctioned. Deputy Mayor also laid the foundation stone for the construction of deep drain opposite Parmoodh Provisional Store near Mubarak Mandi. The amount approved for the whole work is Rs 2.5 lakh.
Deputy Mayor also laid the foundation stone for the development of platform for garbage container opposite LIC office in Ward No. 1. The amount approved for the above mentioned work is 2.6 lakhs.
