JAMMU, Apr 26: A deputation of Bahu Fort, Kacha Talab residents here today met Deputy Mayor and raised the issue of encroachment of temple land.
The deputation said that a commercial building has been constructed illegally on the temple land.
The Deputy Mayor on spot gave directions to the Joint Commissioner (Adm) to dismantle the illegally constructed building on the temple land and take stern action against the encroachers.
A press release claimed that after this the enforcement team dismantled the illegal building within hours.
Meanwhile, another deputation of Senior Assistants and Junior Assistants also met Deputy Mayor and demanded filling up of vacant posts, re-organization and timely promotion of the officials.
The Deputy Mayor assured the deputation that the issues will be taken into consideration and will be solved soon.
