JAMMU, Jan 8: A delegation of PHE Workers Welfare Association today met Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and listed their grievances with the latter.
Led by senior leaders including, Bakshi Singh, Subash Verma, Rajesh Jamwal, Udeybir Singh, Sanjay Bali, Sanjeev Gupta, and Ashok Dovgotra, the delegations members extended their greetings to the Chief Secretary on assuming the chair and presented a charter of demands, addressing longstanding issues faced by the community and daily wagers.
The key demands highlighted in the charter of demands include the conduct of a DPC meeting, cessation of recovery from employees under SRO-59 and SRO-149 of 1973, granting gratuity of Rs 5 lakh to retiring or retired daily wagers, providing compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the next of the kin of the deceased daily wagers, and swift release of all pending wages for daily wagers.
The Chief Secretary expressed commitment to addressing the genuine concerns highlighted by the PHE employees.
