JAMMU, June 23: A deputation of Old Janipur Civil Society Action Committee led by Kulwant Singh Sambyal, Committee member met Dr Vinod Kumar Sharma, JMC Officer and submitted him a memorandum containing demands.
The deputation informed the officer that for more than a year waste is being dumped opposite to the community hall near the temple in Mohalla Shant Nagar at Old Janipur and demanded that the garbage dump should be shifted from there.
Cleanliness and sanitation at Old Janipur JDA Park was also demanded by the deputation along with the repair of bathrooms at the park.
Members of the deputation further demanded installation of CCTV cameras in JDA Park of Old Janipur.
They said that a watchman and a gardener should be engaged for the proper maintenance and care of the park.
Those who were present in the deputation were Charan Dass, R.L Bhat, Ashwani Sharma, Sheel Abrol, Ravi Sharma, Vidya Bhushan, Rajat Sambyal, Rakesh Kumar, Bittu Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Tara Chand, Anil, Ravi Sharma, Sanju, Subash, Satpal, Buti Ram and others.
