Deptt of Dogri in JU organizes street play ‘Bandh Karo Isi’

JAMMU, Sept 6: The Department of Dogri in University of Jammu organized a Nukkad Natak – `Bandh Karo Isi’ on drug abuse to sensitize the students and scholars of the university against this menace.
The spectacular performance presented by Vishali Devi, Shammi Devi, Pooja Sharma, Priya Sharma, Ranju Devi, Shikha Sharma, Rahul Singh, Pankaj Singh and D K Dogra, all students of MA Dogri, 2nd Semester, effectively concertized the message against the horrors of drug abuse. Fulfilling its responsibility towards society, PG Department of Dogri pledged to fight against this evil practice.
More than 150 persons, comprising students, scholars and faculty members of Languages Departments of Jammu University witnessed this programme, which was organized on the lawn in front of Dogri Department.
At the programme’s conclusion, the HoD Dogri, Prof Sushma Sharma, encouraged all the students to keep participating in these kinds of activities and motivated them to keep spreading awareness in society. Prof Sharma also lauded the efforts of Prof Shiv Dev Singh Manhas, Dr Padam Dev Singh, Dr Sandeep Dubey and Dr Radha Devi Sharma, faculty members of the department in organizing this Nukkad Natak.
