JAMMU, June 7: A labourer was killed in shootout along the International Border in Regal area of Samba district late tonight.

The dead has been identified as Vasudev from Akhnoor, aged 28.
SSP Samba Vinay Sharma and senior BSF officers have reached the spot.
Reports, however, said that the labourer was killed around 11 pm and investigations are on to ascertain the firing incident.
The area is right along the International Border.
The labourer had reportedly been engaged for some construction work near the ditch.
There has been ceasefire along the International Border as well as the Line of Control between India and Pakistan but sometimes the Rangers violate the ceasefire.
Body of the victim has been shifted to Samba hospital for post-mortem.
