JAMMU, Jan 6: A meeting of all Dental Technicians of Jammu Division was held today at the office of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) under the chairmanship of its president Sushil Sudan, to discuss their demands.
The Dental Technicians from different Health Institutions of Jammu Division raised their issues and acquainted the leaders of JKMEF with problems they are facing on day to day basis and pressed hard for getting their solution.
The Major demands highlighted by them were registration of Dental Technicians in Part- B, conducting DPC of the Cadre twice a year, creation of posts of Technical Officer in District as well as at Block level, creation of post of Supervisor Dental Technician and Senior Dental Technician in every CHC, creation of posts of Head/ Supervisor/ Senior Dental Technicians in DHS/HERO and Medical Supply Corporation, risk allowance to Dental Technicians and amendment of SRO 20 dated 20-02-1992.
At the end a general body election of the association was held under the supervision of Sushil Sudan to elect office bearers of the association. Santosh Kumar was unanimously nominated and elected as provincial president, Sanjay Khajuria as president for Jammu District, Rakesh Saini and Surinder Sharma as vice presidents, Subash Manhas as general secretary, Rajesh Gupta as cashier, Sat Pal as joint secretary and Suresh Manhas and Garuram as advisors.
