JAMMU, Jan 19: The Global Peace Organization organized a free dental check up for the specially-abled persons at Rotary Innerwheel’s Home, Channi Rama, Jammu.
During the camp, Dr Pankhuri Sethi, Dr Khushboo Khan, Dr Daniyal and Dr Pawan Kumar conducted an extensive dental checkup of the inmates of Rotary Innerwheels Home for mentally retarded persons. They also educated the caretakers how to take care of the teeth of the inmates. The members of the Global Peace Organization also donated Rs 8000 for the inmates of the house.
Sheikh Altaf Hussain, chairman, Global Peace Organization, while presenting the inaugural address, appealed the Government to provide sufficient funds for the release of salary of the employees of the institute.
On the occasion, R S Jamwal, District Social Welfare Officer, Jammu appealed the chairman of the Organization to organize such camps in other neglected areas as well.
Dr Aqsa Rao, convener, Global Peace Organization, Shaista Katoch and Zaheer Abbss also expressed their views. The other persons present on the occasion were Sheikh Ayaz Hussain (general secretary), Zahid Malik (State secretary), Imran Akram (secretary CWC), Waseem Dar and Manzoor Ahmed (liaison officers) and Mohammad Sikander Wani.
