RAMBAN, Dec 25: Senior BJP leader and former MLA, Neelam Langeh has shown his utmost pleasure over the draft proposal of the Delimitation Commission, granting six of the seven additional Assembly seats in the Union Territory to Jammu.
Former MLA said that the report has been prepared after consulting all political parties, social organizations, NGOs and other stake holders in Jammu and Kashmir and is first comprehensive exercise to do equitable justice to all regions of Union Territory. He added that the draft proposal of the Delimitation Commission has done justice with the people of Jammu division. “Jammu region has more area and population. This is for the first time that people of Jammu have got their due share. The 2011 census was manipulated by those in power; now all wrong things have been set right by the Delimitation Commission,” he said, terming it as big achievement for the people of Jammu region.
Expressing serious concern over the stand of PAGD on delimitation of seats, the former MLA criticized the Alliance Group of Valley based leaders for their stance on the delimitation process, saying that have their own agenda being under pressure from Pakistan. They also support militancy in Jammu and Kashmir and want Kashmir to be like before,” he added.
The former MLA said that BJP is committed to empower all segments of society and has been working in giving Constitutionally provided reservations to the deprived classes. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir have understood the nefarious game plan of these anti people parties and they will defeat their designs in coming elections.
Langeh asserted that after completion of delimitation exercise the elections to the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly will be held and the PAGD candidates will lose the forthcoming elections with large margins and BJP will form the Government in the Union Territory on its own.
