NEW DELHI, May 4: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that Delhi is all set to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and both the Congress Party as well as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have already conceded defeat.
Addressing a series of public meetings in Delhi (North East) Lok Sabha constituency, in support of the party candidate and Delhi State President Manoj Tiwari, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the AAP victory in the Delhi Assembly election was a fluke and in the course of time, the hollow dreams sold out by Kejriwal stand exposed. Reminding the audience, amidst applause, he said, Kejriwal had during his last election campaign promised to transform Delhi into Paris and the result is there for everybody to see. However, he said, it is not a part of BJP culture to bluff the voters but certainly, we commit to develop Delhi and transform Delhi into a city befitting the national capital of India.
Dr Jitendra Singh alleged that the lack of cooperation from the Kejriwal-led State Government had hampered the progress of Delhi. This fact, he said, has now been fully realized not only by the common masses, but even by the workers of AAP and Congress, which is why, each day you come across the news of important leaders from these two parties defecting over to BJP.
Exuding confidence that BJP is going to register decisive victory in the poll to be held on 12th May, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the only task left now is to ensure that the margin of the victory is twice as compared to what it was in 2014 Lok Sabha poll.
Dr Jitendra Singh also appealed to the people to turn up in large numbers to attend the public rally scheduled to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 8th of May at Ramleela Ground. He said, the Modi rally of 8th May assumes special significance because the venue is the national capital of India and the message from Delhi will be keenly looked forward to by people living across the length and breadth of India.
