JAMMU, Mar 28: A delegation from tehsil Majalta led by State youth convener of All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) and elected Naib Sarpanch from Kail panchayat of tehsil Majalta, Nirmal Kesar met K Vijay Kumar, Advisor to the Governor, and apprised him of their demands.
The demands highlighted in the meeting include upgradation of Primary Health Centre (PHC) Bharnara to Community Health Centre (CHC) Bharnara, shortage of staff in the PHC and urgent requirement of ambulance in PHC Khoon. It was demanded that funds be released to panchayats as soon as possible so that development works can be carried out in appropriate time.
The issues of funding wages of MGNREGA workers, restoring services of terminated National Health Mission (NHM) employees and opening up of Health Sub Centre at Sandoo village in panchayat Kail were also discussed.
The Advisor assured that their demands will be met soon and issued on spot instructions to the concerning department to check the feasibility of the demands.
