Delegation of industrialists interacts with CAPD Minister

JAMMU, July 6:  A delegation of industrialists from Association of Industries IGC  Samba led by Lalit Mahajan, chairman Federation of Industries Jammu and  Vijay Aggarwal,  president of the Association  met  Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Zulfkar Ali Chowdhary at Samba.
During the interaction Mr Mahajan and Vijay Aggarwal  discussed the issue regarding the renewal of licenses of the Industrial units for the storage of  pesticides and solvents with the minister.
Mr Mahajan also requested the Minister to extend the period of renewal from one year at present to three years under the ease of doing business concept adopted by the Govt. The Minister also issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officials to extend the date for the renewal of licenses till the finalization of new guidelines and also assured the delegation to consider the demand for the extension of time for the renewal of licenses from one year at present to two years.
The Industrialists present in the meeting assured the Minister to provide all sort of help under Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme introduced by the  Prime Minister of India for providing all sort of help as social commitment for the common people of the State.
The meeting was also attended by Sheetal Nanda Deputy Commissioner, Samba,  Shafiq Ahmed Raina Commissioner/ Secretary CAPD,  Amar Singh, Joint Controller Legal Metrology, Ajay Langer general secretary BBIA,  Ritesh Mahajan, general secretary AOI IGC Samba,  representatives from Cadila Pharmaceuticals, UPL, Insecticides India, Indo-Swift, British Paint, Berger Paints and other reputed Industrial units.
