JAMMU, Mar 24: A delegation of Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) led by Sushil Sudan today met Director, Family Welfare, Dr Baldev Raj Sharma, in his office chamber and put forth demands of FMPHWs.
The demands taken up by the delegation were permanent solution of Salary Head 2211 in Health and Family Welfare Department and the release of pending salary for more than four to five months, upgradation for the post of FMPHW on the analogy of pharmacist, Lab Technicians, X-Ray Technician, Dental Technician and Ophthalmic Technician.
The delegation also highlighted other demands like creation of the post of LHVs in new PHCs, allotment of 50% quota in favour of trained LHVs at par with MMPHSs promoted as Health Educators and amendment of SRO 20 dated: 20-04-1992, which is pending in the Administrative Department for the last 27 years.
Dr Baldev gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured it to find out a permanent solution of Salary Head 2211 within two months of time span.
Neelam Kumari, general secretary, Jammu Kashmir FMPHWs Association was among others who were part of the delegation.
