JAMMU, May 8: A delegation of Democratic Party of displaced people today met Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner R K Pandita and discussed various problems being faced by Kashmiri migrants with him.
As per a release, the delegation was led by Satish Pajnoo president of the party who was accompanied by senior vice president Pushkar Nath Pandita and Makhan Lal Bhat.
The issues discussed with RRC included economic aid for patients suffering from dreaded diseases, updating of electoral rolls by including left over migrants in them and simplification of electoral process for displaced people.
Besides other issues including the speedy issuance of State Subject certificates as well as migration certificates were also discussed with RRC. The delegation demanded that the migrants from RBA areas be also given the benefit of RBA certificates and timely supply of ration and relief.
It also stressed that a proper transfer policy be established for the employees of the relief organization and the people having over stay be shifted.
